Editorial policy
Bright Movie Journal aims to make clear, reliable writing about movie culture. We distinguish explanation from opinion, check factual details before publication, and correct errors when they are brought to our attention.
Accuracy and context
We take care with names, dates, terminology, and historical context, and avoid presenting an interpretation as settled fact. When a claim depends on information we cannot confirm, we leave it out or make the uncertainty clear. We do not invent sources, quotations, people, or production details.
Independence and corrections
Editorial choices belong to the publication, not to a partner. If a published piece contains a factual error, readers can contact us with the relevant detail. We review correction requests and, when a change is warranted, update the article so the record is clearer.
Partnerships and illustrations
Paid, sponsored, or partner material is identified clearly wherever it appears; a commercial relationship does not buy editorial conclusions. Some illustrations may be AI-generated. When that is the case, we label the image so readers can distinguish illustration from documentary material.
A movie is more than what is on screen.
The way we watch, where we watch, and what we expect all shape a film night. We look at those details with curiosity, not a checklist.
